This is the journal of my dreams and meditational experiences over a number of years and I post it here, together with my interpretations and cross referencing, as an aid to students of dream use and interpretation. Included is some dream symbology.
With reference to my meditation:
In 1986 I used to go to a clairvoyant [clairaudiant really] - a lovely old lady with whom I became quite friendly. She told me some interesting things that came to pass [you can read about these in the two QVFile posts in Part Two of TMIW headed "Authorship of this material".]
But I digress!!
She mentioned that she often meditated and spoke to her spirit guides and, since I knew very little about how to meditate, I asked her how she did it and she told me.
As a result I settled myself one day soon afterward and, keeping my eyes open and loosely focused on the area opposite me consisting of the wall, TV and a couple of indoor plants, I started talking to my spirit guides inviting them to communicate with me.
I cannot clearly recall the time sequence but here it is approximately:
Day 1. Nothing happened.
Day 2. A fine "mist" appeared in front of the items across the room from me.
Day 3. One of the plants - a fairly large Philodendron deliciosa (Cheese plant?) - took on a silver light along the edges of leaves and stems. I think the plant itself took on a slightly luminous quality too.
Day 4. A small, framed painting appeared; a painting of a small stream flowing approximately diagonally from the left top corner to the right bottom corner. On the left bottom corner was a dry reddish coloured "beach" and across the water similar coloured land on which stood a family party of black silhouetted figures I took to be Australian aborigines.
Day 5. The water in the stream began to flow and I was fascinated with all this and its potential.
Day 6. The water was flowing and I said aloud, "OK, so you want to take me to the other side . . . . well, take me!'
And that is what happened!
Thereafter, my meditational procedure developed and I started closing my eyes and making other changes as I "felt" they were needed whilst, concurrently, the amazing spiritual occurrences mentioned elsewhere started and lead me to where I am today.
Interestingly, but only interestingly, I was recently* in Wikipedia looking up something to do with enlightenment when I came across a reference to the 4 stages of enlightenment following the cessation of the cycle of birth and death. One one these, perhaps the second, is described as that for those who, "have crossed the stream".
As I said earlier, this is only a matter of interest - no more!
