This MySpace thing is fuzzy, it seems to send you on an ego trip no matter what you try to do. Even in the blog's category, you have to choose "religion and philosophy" like you're going to debate something of importance, or "writing and poetry", like it's something brilliant!
And then there's all these famous people at hand, actors and musicians and so on. And we, the underrated, the buried under a heap of solitude, the under-recognized, the anonymous for life, have now a chance to show our worth!
Here money doesn't count so much. Looks can be created. All you have to have is imagination, good wording, and an attitude that wins in the sea of people trying to gain the attention of everyone that is at the top - the gold.
It's like a big competition, a game, where you win by having the best and most numerous friends (declared as victories or hidden like treasures). It's like putting your face in a big sale and shouting out the best qualities, whether you have them or don't.
On the other hand, it might be just a more or less open space where the stuff that lives inside of you can be delivered when the time is right. In the open, the newborn ideas, shapes and sounds can live for the first time in the minds of everyone else around! they can expand and take a life of their own that they deserve.
In the end, it all has to do with being authentic, an easy thing when you're utterly alone, or with people that love you just the way you are. But difficult when we're trying to please by hiding.
In that sense, it's quite difficult to be honest in "myspacedotcom", for it's like being on stage, when all the will to please, which in normal life just takes you a little out of yourself, here, in the stage, pushes you around, bites and chews you up, until there is nothing but the desire to please, until you're nothing but the lies you believe other want to hear.
Blahh!! I'll just be whatever it is I am at the moment!
Not very interesting, not very silly, not much of anything, but at least, it is the real thing, the real love/fuck affair between reality and the beyond!!!
My space, my will, by body, my soul, whatever, the ability to express: I don't know for how long I'll have it, but, since I can do this, since I can express myself in this unknown... why not? Perhaps by joining two unkowns we'll get to learn something. And there's so much mystery around us. One way to deal with it is: act and see the consequences - by looking in the mirror of life we'll see the external part of what we are. More precisely the mirror shows the edge of a marriage between something that reflects the deepest inside (the body), and the reflexes of a world encompassing the farthest star, which carries and illuminates it... ^_^
My Space is just an extension of that. We should not forget that our food and ailment comes from within and beyond.
