The following two images are the reference written for my grandad Patrick Terrance Crehan by his commanding officer when he retired from the Met Police in 1977. His most successful years in the police were working in traffic management and most notably he led the team that made the traffic management arrangements for the Queen's Silver Jubilee in 1977
The following two images are certificates awarded to my grandmother Marjorie-Ann Crehan (nee Meakin) in 1946 and 1947 from the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents - National Award of Merit for Conductors of Road Passenger Vehicles. Awarded for not having been held responsible for any accidents while carrying out her duties as a bus conductress, whilst working in the Transport Department for the Chesterfield Corporation. She did later have several other jobs ranging from working in Sainsbury's in Forest Hill to working for the Bank of England in the City of London in the 1980's.
