General Information

The Angel Garden is safely nestled in the back of the Church property within a white fenced area, which has a small flower garden that blooms throughout most of the year and often the grass is carpeted with little wildflowers.

The Angel Garden is a specially designated cemetery for infants located on the property of Jerusalem Lutheran Church.

It is open to any family; you do not need to attend Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church. The necessary arrangements for securing a plot can be handled by your funeral director. There is a one-time fee of $75.00 for grounds maintenance and perpetual care.

Non-permanent flowers and decorations are permitted at the graves but will be removed quarterly to maintain a respectful appearance, according to the existing guidelines of Jerusalem Union Cemetery: the weeks of February 1st, May 1st, August 1st, and November 1st.

The Garden area measures 60 feet by 106 feet. Each plot measures 2 feet wide by 4 feet long. Individual grave markers may be purchased but must adhere to the following guidelines: flat stones only, 18 inches wide by 12 inches long, flat top and smooth sides, must be installed flush to the ground and centered at the head of the grave (a concrete foundation will be installed at the direction of Jerusalem Union Cemetery).
