Continuously monitoring exchange rates, due dates of shipments, economical packaging methods, logistics, vessel arrival dates, air-line schedules, online tracking, customs rules and regulations in different countries, documentation preparations, new samples developing, etc etc.

Most important issue is Customer Service -- prepare in advance of the customer's visit -- saves them right away, a couple of extra days stay in the local hotels, enables them to quickly get back to their families..go to the airport late night to pick them and safely drop to their hotels.. arranging visits to hospitals or clinics, going for an evening of shopping and dinner -- these are the etiquettes -- without compromising the status or position in the company working for....

I realized the value of this experience, when back in India - I went from the field to the desk..!!
