Rules for class cancellations and make-up lessons

1. If you need to cancel a class due to *unforeseen circumstances, you must notify the Kyomu-ka of the cancellation via UNIPA. Please refer to the separate page for detailed instructions.

2. At TFU, regular face-to-face classes must be conducted entirely in person. Only courses specifically designated as “On-demand,” as well as make-up lessons, may be delivered in an on-demand format. As noted above, class cancellations are permitted only in cases of unforeseen circumstances.

3. When a class is canceled, you are expected to provide a make-up lesson in an on-demand format as soon as possible. If you are a part-time instructor, please write “オンデマンド” in the relevant hanko box the next time you come in.

4. If, for valid reasons, a make-up lesson needs to be conducted in person, it must be scheduled on a Saturday designated as a “Reserved Day for Make-ups (授業予備日).”

*Unforeseen circumstances (予期せぬ事態) is very loosely defined, and is meant to include valid reasons such as conference attendance, special meetings at your main place of employment, etc.
