Blogging
Here is some important information for your blogs.
To start your blog:
Click on the 9-dot Google menu in the upper right corner of your Chromebook page and choose "Blogger."
Choose "Blogger Profile" if asked for a profile.
Write your first name as your Display Name.
Click on "New Blog" and follow the prompts to set up your blog.
Choose your own title for your blog.
Choose an address for your blog. It can be anything that is easy for you to remember. Do not use your last name.
To start, explore the Templates, Layouts and Gadgets sections.
When you are ready to write your first post, click on the Pencil icon at the top of the page.
Important:
Copy (Control C) and paste (Control V) your blog address to our Grade 7 Blog Directory.
Click on Settings and choose Privacy. Change both answers to "No" and save.

Blogging Assignments
Respond to the article we read in Workshop: "Do We Look Like Terrorists to You?" from Junior Scholastic magazine. Some thoughts to consider in your response are below. You do not have to write about every one - just choose one that makes you think.
What are some ways that Muslims are stereotyped? What are some things you (and others) can do to combat these stereotypes?
What are ways that you or others have been stereotyped? How have you responded? What can you do that you haven't done yet?
Have you caught yourself judging others based on stereotypes before? Why do you think you were making those stereotypes? What did you do when you realized your were stereotyping others?
Read one of the sidebars, maps, charts or graphs in the article. What does it show you that you didn't know before? How does this help change stereotypes?
