Welcome to the 2018-19 school year!
Dear Students and Families,
I am excited to be entering my 24th year at Pawcatuck Middle School. This will be a special year as there will be many ways that we celebrate our neighborhood school during its final year before it closes its doors in June. This year, I will teach grade 7 social studies and an elective class about peacebuilding.
Since we started using Google Classroom last year, I have not used this website as often as I used to. Most of the classroom handouts and assignments are posted on Google Classroom as they are assigned. I encourage you to sign up for your child's Google Classroom to keep up to date with what we are doing in class. Please also check the Homework page on the Team 7 websites for daily homework assignments. I may return to using this site as the need arises.
This summer, I was fortunate to receive two grants for travel to two very unique places: Germany and Cuba. I will be incorporating lessons from my travels, as well as from my year abroad in 2016-17, into our geography lessons this year.
If you would like to read more about my travels and see pictures, visit my blog: The Alternate Route. I will see you all soon, but in the meantime, feel free to contact me (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you have any questions.
