We launched a high altitude weather balloon from Waxahachie, TX with an on board camera, GPS, and HAM radio APRS on 13 Nov 2010. It took some great photos. It reached 90,000 feet! Inside the payload (beer cooler) the temperature went down to -7.6 degrees Fahrenheit. It traveled 83 miles East and landed 25 North of Tyler, TX. The total time was 2 hours and 15 minutes. The furthest stations that heard us was 346 miles away in Springfield, MO. Average ascent rate as 10mph. Average descent rate was 29mph. Max sustained descent rate was 79mph.
