Scholarship & Creativity Journal

After a singular hiatus, Scholarship and Creativity On Line: A Publication of the Texas College English Association is once again in publication, presenting a colloquy of Texas writers between and among several genres. A group of poems replete with verve and wit rebounding from the impact of Hurricane Harvey, by Jerry Bradley; a fascinating moment of memoir set with a hybrid of prose and verse, by Moumin Quazi; another hybrid, an evocative blend of memory and scholarship by Melissa Nivens on her maternal grandmother; and a well-researched and admirable contribution to Nat Turner scholarship by Mark Busby.

Enjoy, be inspired by the talent and perception included in this issue, and please keep us in mind for your own future submissions. I look forward to seeing you at our next conference, the 2020 CCTE/TCEA Joint Meeting, March 3-3, on the campus of Tarleton State University. For registration information and other details, contact , CCTE President, .

I also encourage you to join us at the national Conference of the College English Association each year. Believe me, we are as open and encouraging as TCEA and have a special affinity for members of the state affiliates, extending an open panel spot on the program each year for TCEA-sponsored submissions. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact me for details.
