TECHNICAL EDUCATION AND SKILLS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY

Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Isabela held their 2nd quarter Provincial Technical  Education and Skills Development Committee (PTESDC) meeting at the Provincial Office in the City of Ilagan, Isabela to apprise the members of the status of Technical Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the province.

The said focused on reviewing scholarships and competency assessment accomplishments for the 1st quarter of 2024 as well identification of emerging skills in the province for the development of competency standards.

The Training of Trainers on the Entrepreneurial Development Training (EDT) program, a collaborative initiative between the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) and the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Isabela, was successfully conducted over three days from May 21 to May 23, 2024. The event took place at the TESDA Isabela Function Hall, City Civic Center, Alibagu, City of Ilagan.

The training was attended by 30 trainers from Technical Vocational Institutions (TVIs) and TESDA Technology Institutions (TTIs). These trainers are now better equipped to impart entrepreneurial skills and knowledge to their students, fostering an entrepreneurial mindset essential for socio-economic advancement and national economic development.

Participants provided positive feedback on the comprehensive and practical nature of the sessions. They appreciated the blend of theoretical knowledge and hands-on activities. Evaluations indicated a significant increase in participants' confidence and readiness to teach entrepreneurial concepts to their students.#
