Participated in a comparative analysis of the schools and cultures of Europe to the United States in the Netherlands, Belgium, and Germany in 2002. I actually went into various schools in these countries and observed and talked with teachers, principals, and other school faculty about their systems of education.
Studied abroad for a semester at La Universidad de Cantabria in Santander, Spain to perfect my second language and immerse myself completely into the Spanish culture and way of life. I took a deep look into all facets of Spanish life, culture, geography, and history and visited over 35 cities throughout the country while there. While there, I also visited Ireland, England, and France.
Studied in Costa Rica for a month and a half in the summer of 2005 to immerse myself into another Hispanic country and see differing ways of life and culture. Traveled within Panama afterward. Later, in 2017, I took my husband and three children there to live for a month and be immersed into the language and culture.
Traveled to Japan for two weeks in the spring of 2006 to familiarize myself with Japanese culture and way of life.
Participated in a Bilingual School Psychology Program through the University of Arizona in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico for during the summer of 2006 and then traveled for another three weeks throughout Mexico.
Traveled all over Puerto Rico and to St. Lucia, Turks & Caicos, Bahamas, U.S. Virgin Islands, Canada, and more!
