Welcome!
Hi, I'm Cristina Tello-Trillo. I am the Chief Economist at the Center for American Progress, and an Adjunct Professor at the University of Maryland. Prior to joining American Progress, I was a Senior Economist at the U.S. Census Bureau's Center for Economic Studies and an Adjunct Professor at Johns Hopkins University. I have a Ph.D. in Economics from Yale University.
My research lies at the intersection of international trade and labor economics, with a strong focus on economic measurement. My previous work has studied how parental leave and trade shocks affect employment and wages, and how these dynamics shape economic inequality.
