WebQuests to teach students how to effectively use the Internet for research. A WebQuest is an inquiry-based lesson format in which most learners' work or information comes from the web. Developed by Bernie Dodge at San Diego State University in February of 1995 with collaboration early on from SDSU/Pacific Bell Fellow Tom March, the Educational Technology staff at San Diego Unified School District, and participants of the Teach the Teachers Consortium. WebQuests imakes good use of the internet while engaging students in the kinds of thinking that the 21st century requires. At the end of a WebQuest, a learner will have grappled with a significant amount of new information and make sense of it
Webquests are fun, inquiry based ways for students to learn a topic while developing technical skills.

EdTechTalk describes itself as "a community of educators interested in discussing and learning about the uses of educational technology". Webcasts are live several times a week provide interactive shows. Webcasts are recorded and archived as mp3 files which can be downloaded directly from the site or subscribed to via an RSS feed. Listeners can use any common media player (i.e. Windows Media Player, Real Player, or iTunes) to listen to the discussion and use the chat room to make comments and ask questions. EdTech Talk lists times in GMT so people can listen from all over the world. Chats are transcribed and a comment forum are provided so discussion can be continued even after the show. Educators can develop their profession, interact with other educators and be part of the learning community.
