CJSF

CJSF is short for the California Junior Scholarship Federation. We are a club that meets during lunch on Tuesdays to plan, organize and prepare for service projects or events to help others in our community.

• Acceptance is based on filling out an application that you can find in the handout section of my website under CJSF. Students need to have a total of 16 points in their academic classes to qualify. During the first semester of the school year, only 8th graders will be able to apply by submitting an application along with a copy of their transcripts from spring semester 2018. Students must have no D's or F's and a total of 16 points for the semester. A's are 3 points, B's are 1 point, C's are 0 points. If they were in an advanced class such as English or Algebra, an additional point can be added for each quarter.

We participate in service projects and volunteer work within the school and school community. In the past we have raised money for "Pennies for Patients," families at Christmas, held food drives for the local food bank, volunteered doing crafts with seniors, reading and visiting with rehabilitation patients at a local facility, collected shoes, clothing and other items for those in need. We also do baking once a month after school to make birthday treats for our amazing teachers!
