Great Gatherings

Great Gatherings are community events, usually for a small number of guests, hosted by families of TCGIS students. Great Gatherings can be for kids, families, or adults only.

These events encourage members of our community to build relationships and have fun while raising money for the PTO.

Here is a short list of previous offerings to get your brainstorming started:

• The Annual TCGIS Camping Trip
• Dinner Parties (Authentic German Dinner, Northeast Progressive Dinner, etc.)
• Wine Tasting Events
  • Crafting Events (Kids' Crafts, Knitting Parties, Cupcake Decorating)
• Game Nights
• Class Parties (Swimming, Movies, etc.)
• Airplane tour
• Science, Girls, and Technology (A Day at the Science Museum for Girls)
• Ethiopian Coffee Ceremony
• Holiday Cookie Decorating
• Hands-on Pasta or Chinese Dumpling Making
• An Afternoon with the Veterinarian
• Outdoor adventures (Backyard Yoga, Orienteering, Outdoor Movies, BBQ)
• Barrel Sauna and Brotzeit
• A Golf Outing

Events can be scheduled starting November 8 through the summer of 2020. Please check the school calendar when picking a date for your event and consider teacher work days, long weekends, holidays, and school-wide activities (such as the Carnival of Cultures in years past).
