1430 Keyword Hand Library
A modification to Roman Key Card Blackwood proposed and popularized by Eddie Kantar that inverts the 5♣ and 5♦ responses to the 4NT inquiry. In 1430, 5♣ shows 1 or 4 key cards (14), 5♦ shows 0-3 (30). It is useful when the anchor suit is hearts and responder to 4NT shows one key card. The 4NT bidder can then initiate the queen-ask with a bid of 5♦.
