Notebook

Students should have a three-subject spiral notebook to keep their warm-ups, notes and vocabularies, and labs organized. The first section of the notebook should contain daily warm-ups. Daily warm-ups should be hand written and contain the daily question and answer. This should be an easy 100 for students. The second section of the notebook should contain notes that students take during class and notes they take while they read the textbook. The second section of the notebook should also contain the weekly vocabulary that students will be quizzed on. The last section should contain lab results. Please help your child stay organized so that he/she will be prepared when the notebooks are graded. I will not announce when warm ups will be graded since they are required everyday in science class. Students who do not come to class with warm ups, notes, and labs are not coming to class prepared. Notebooks will help students keep their study material organized so they will have everything together when it comes time to study for benchmarks and the MSL exam (Measure of Student Learning) at the end of the school year.

Students also keep their science assignments or worksheets, vocabulary, and handouts organized in the science section of their 3 ring binder.
