I LOVE having you in my home for music lessons each week!! I ask that all music lesson guests to our home respectfully follow these rules:
Please park in the driveway or at the Arrowsmith Community Center and not along the side of the road.
Please carefully watch out for my neighbor children, who frequently play in the road, in driveways, run through my yard and driveway, and generally do not have someone supervising them.
Right now, there are 3 adults and 5 cars among my family living in our home, so we may need to ask you to move your car temporarily if one of my family members is coming/going during your lesson time.
Please come in the front door at your lesson time, find a seat, and wait quietly for your turn as I wrap up the previous lesson.
Please be sure to use the bathroom before you arrive at lessons! I’m very sorry, but my family's bathroom is not available for public use, and there is NO public restroom in the Village of Arrowsmith.
Parents of new/young students are welcome to attend their child's first lesson if their student is most comfortable with that. Parents may feel free to pop in at the beginning or end of ANY lesson to hear feedback about your child’s progress or communicate about a scheduling conflict! This is not a privacy issue, rather, it can cause anxiety and/or distraction (both for the student and me) to have visitors come in for full lessons. I do always leave curtains open during lessons so parents can see in and students can see out during lessons.
I ask that only the student who is having a lesson come into the house to stay for the length of their lesson. I cannot make any of the rest of my home besides the music room available during lessons anymore, and it is too distracting to me and the student in the lesson to have anyone else in the room during lessons. I realize this is especially inconvenient for those who have more than one child taking lessons, however, over the years I myself spent hundreds of hours sitting in my car waiting for one or more of my children to attend a lesson, sports practice, rehearsal, class, camp, etcetera. I'm really sorry for this inconvenience, but I hope you understand.
Please always feel free to send me a text or email to ask for a progress report on your student anytime!
I greatly thank you for understanding!
