For standard two-player cribbage, one player shuffles the pack of cards and places them face down. Each player then cuts a card leaving not less than four cards at either end of the shuffled pack. If they cut cards of the same rank, they each draw a second time.
The player deal first is he who cuts the lowest card. The subsequent deals alternate between the two. If they have to play another game, the loser of the previous game deals first. The dealer is granted the right to shuffle the deck presents the shuffled pack to the non-dealers for a cut just before the deal.
The dealer is required to distribute six of the shuffled cards faced down to each player beginning with his rival.
A standard pack of 52 card deck is used. The cards rank from K(the highest) followed by Q, J,10,9,8,7,6,5,4,2, and A in that order.
When playing the online cribbage, your objective is to score 121 points. However, some cribbage games are won by 61 points. The points are earned during play by making certain card combinations.
The player on the left of the dealer begins the free cribbage game. Each player has their turn. When it is a player’s turn, he/she put a card (face up) on the table. He states the count of the card.
The points in free cribbage games are accumulated as follows;
When a player causes the count to exactly reach 15, he/she gains 2 points. The game continues afterward.
When a player has a run of at least three cards he/she scores points that are equivalent to the number of cards in the respective run.
If a player suspects or knows that his/her next play will cause the count to surpass the maximum count of 31; he/she can call “go” giving the opponent a chance to peg 1. The opponent then must place an additional card he possesses without passing the 31 counts.
The one who calls the go is the one to lead the series of plays. The counts of these plays begin at 0.
At the end of the play, every player has their turn to present their hands. The scores for each player depends on the contents. A combination of cards that make a score of 15 earns player points.
