Tatyana earned her Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry from the Technion (Israel Institute of Technology) in 2007, focusing on the surface properties of Cu-Al alloys. She subsequently undertook a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the University of Genoa (Italy), where she concentrated on determining the adsorption and catalytic properties of low-coordinated metal surfaces through interaction with organic molecules.
Upon returning to Technion in 2008, Tatyana joined the Department of Chemistry as a research fellow. For seven years, she played a key role in managing and developing a research laboratory, overseeing the establishment of a state-of-the-art helium spin echo spectrometer. Her primary research areas encompass surface dynamics and structure, magnetic focusing of molecular beams, separation of water spin isomers, and characterization.
In 2016, Tatyana transitioned to the Surface Science Laboratory of the Solid State Institute at Technion, assuming the role of research engineer. In this capacity, she was responsible for managing, operating, and providing technical support for the laboratory, which serves as a hub for fundamental and applied research in surface and thin-film physics and chemistry, encompassing educational and scientific dimensions.
In 2023, Tatyana relocated to Michigan to take on the role of Surface Scientist at Ford Motor Company. Her primary focus in this position is leveraging Time-of-Flight Secondary Ion Mass Spectrometry (TOF-SIMS) for research and development initiatives related to batteries and paints.
In 2024, Tatyana relocated to California and later accepted a role as a TOF-SIMS specialist at Covalent Metrology Services in Sunnyvale. She also joined the technical marketing team, exploring new areas of expertise.
