Medoc Mountain State Park Exhibit

posted Jan 19, 2019, 3:00 PM by Tammy Kaufman   [ updated Jan 29, 2019, 6:37 PM ]

I'm delighted to announce that I've been invited to display my landscape paintings in the beautiful visitor's center at Medoc Mountain State Park! The Park even posted a blog about it here! This gorgeous park in Hollister, North Carolina (about an hour northeast of Raleigh) is a don't-miss destination that has everything - miles of trails with stunning views where you can hike, mountain bike or ride horseback; a gentle flowing creek perfect for paddling; and peaceful wooded campground and picnic areas. The visitor's center offers a wealth of educational information, and the rangers and staff at Medoc are simply fabulous - so friendly, helpful and knowledgeable - and conduct a variety of educational and fun programs at the park throughout the year. I'm especially thrilled to be exhibiting my work in this beautiful nature park because their focus meshes so seamlessly with my own - the preservation of our natural spaces and encouraging others to explore and care for the landscape.

These are the landscapes currently on display in the visitor's center, and I plan to change out the exhibit around every three months. I hope you'll treat yourself by visiting this beautiful park and stop by the visitor's center to see my paintings while you're there. The above works are presently available for purchase, with profits donated to environmental and animal charities - please contact me directly if interested in any of them.

The Meaning of Life

posted Sep 5, 2018, 5:20 PM by Tammy Kaufman   [ updated Mar 24, 2019, 3:12 PM ]

I believe the true meaning of life is measured in what we do for the more vulnerable among us. As such, protecting our environment and animals in need is dear to my heart and an important part of who I am. Although I am generally transitioning away from marketing framed works for sale other than those remaining in galleries,
I am continuing to offer many of my unframed works for sale direct from the artist, with profits donated to the charities in the link above. Please contact me to see those works in person, or they may be viewed online via the paintings link above (please note - I try to photograph my paintings as accurately as possible but I cannot guarantee exact color match as monitors vary, and keep in mind there may be backlighting on your monitor that is not present in the actual painting, depending on the device you use to view the images). Additionally, a limited number of my available unframed works are offered for free
as a thank you for donating to my supported charities, and I welcome inquiries about this
(this offer is limited to those who can either pick up the paintings in the local Wake Forest area or are willing to cover all shipping costs)
The charities I support generally list on their websites suggested donation amounts specific to their needs, but any amount is appreciated.
