This style of Tai Chi Sword (Taijijian) was created by Grandmaster Chian Ho Yin (尹千合) and was brought to Milwaukee, USA, in 1977. Grandmaster Yin considered the Chinese martial arts to be an important art form. The primary emphasis of Tai Chi Sword is the art, followed by the application of the skills. Grandmaster Yin said, "Sword is a gentleman's weapon." He admired the sword as the most noble of weapons, and he emphasized the beauty of playing Tai Chi Sword.
