24-form Tai Chi / Simplified Tai Chi (24 Forms)
This style is also called Simplified Tai Chi (24 Forms), or Beijing Form. The Chinese Sports Committee established this form in 1956 to encourage the masses to exercise. Ordered by the Chinese Sports Committee, famous Tai Chi teachers in China selected 24 forms from the Traditional Yang-style Tai Chi to create a simplified form. 24-form Tai Chi takes about 5 minutes to perform. It has been promoted as a general exercise throughout China.
