Knee Kinematic Image Analysis

Objective

  • Investigate 3-D kinematics of implanted knee motion
  • Release TKA patients' pain by designing new prosthesis

Methods

  • Acquire perspective images of knee implant in-vivo using X-ray scanner, or digital radiography (DR)
  • Recognize 3-D pose/position by 2-D/3-D image registration with 3-D geometrical model of knee implant
