About Me

With over 55 years of experience working with dogs and their owners, I’m far from a “one-trick pony.” I have a diverse toolkit of methods and approaches to help a wide variety of people and their dogs. I bring my own four dogs to every lesson—not to play with your dog, but to demonstrate what’s possible when you apply the right techniques and commitment. Also my dogs come to be distractions for your dog. My goal is to show you the potential within your own dog and guide you on how to achieve it.

About My Pack

Sadie – An 12-year-old Spaniel/Chihuahua mix, Sadie I adopted her at 10 months old, shy and fearful after being returned to rescue twice. I spent a year socializing her in various environments, enlisting the help of strangers to offer treats and guided interactions. She’s a testament to what dedication and gentle exposure can achieve.

Skyla – An 9-year-old Lab/Rotti mix, Skyla I adopted her at 11 months old from a life of neglect, with an embedded collar and no social skills. Initially, she was a “wild child,” eager to see and smell everything at once. After a few months of focused environmental socialization, she transformed into a joyful and well-behaved member of my pack.

Solvej – A 7-year-old Belgian Malinois, Solvej was severely underweight and extremely fearful of men when I adopted her at 4 months old. Her name, meaning “strength” in an old Viking language, that truly suits her. After nursing her back to a healthier weight, we began exploring and socializing. I enlisted the help of trusted men to handle her leash and offer special treats. With time, trust, and positive male interactions, she overcame her fears and grew into a strong, confident dog.

Loki – A 2-year-old Belgian Malinois/German Shepherd mix, Loki was wild and anxious when I adopted him at 4 months old. Known for jumping, biting, and having a high drive with intense anxiety, he’s been one of my most challenging dogs yet. However, through ongoing environmental socialization, he’s showing incredible potential and is a lot of fun to be around.
