Art Peterson: Accordion and Vocals

By far the only accordion player of the band, with a vast repertoire of swing and western songs, polkas and rancheros, and some unexpected gems. Art's tasteful playing and singing, along with his shining personality will blast whatever ill-conceived notions you may have ever had about accordion players. Even the ones you've dated. When not playing with Swing Tonic, Art leads the Polka Cowboys, who have been waltzing and entertaining crowds throughout the Bay Area. To his credit, Art has no shame admitting having been a founder of the infamous Those Darn Accordions.

Dan Falsetto: Trumpet and Bass

Dan can play just about anything on the trumpet, from Jazz to Latin, even Bluegrass, as unlikely as that may sound. And the whole lot with astonishing taste and gusto. On the rare occasions where we feel that the trumpet may not fit the mood of the song, Dan will swiftly morph into a bass player, although in his mind there are no songs where the trumpet would be inappropriate. Or any occasion in life for that matter; at all; ever. Besides being our favorite trumpet player, Dan is also a local authority on cheeses. Not saying that his playing stinks or is cheesy, mind you.

Larry Goldfield: Guitar and Vocals

Was it the witness protection program, no one knows, but we're glad Larry moved to San Francisco from Pennsylvania. In the short time he's been here, he has earned a well deserved reputation among the swing and bluegrass afficionados, playing anywhere he could show up, up and down and right and left of the Bay Area. His motto is: where there is a jam there is a way. That dude is as good looking as his beautiful red archtop, and he sure can sing and play them gueeeetar licks as a-good'n as they gets, as they probably say somewhere or other.

Olivier Zyngier: Bass, Guitar and Mandolin

Olivier is a veteran of the Bay Area acoustic music scene, from bluegrass and swing to musette, klezmer, latin and other obscure styles you'd only find in the bargain bin of any bad record store. He has played Musique Americaine in France, and French Music in the US, and such a commitment to artistic confusion is an essential component of the band's sound. A recent convert to the Bass (so he could fill the empty space in his car, says he), he'll switch to Mandolin or Guitar at the drop of the pick. He's the only one who can pronounce the titles of some of the tunes we play, which may be the best reason why we keep him around. He can also be spotted playing with Redwing, Douce Ambiance and Bistro Moustache.

And a big thanks to Jennie Bowers who designed our beautiful logo.
