Level 1 Umpire Clinic

Softball Sask Sanctioned Umpire Certification Clinic (Level 1)

Date: April 13th, 10am (Registration/check in @ 9:30am)

Location: OM Irwin School

Something exciting for our younger umpires this year… as Softball Sask has added a new certification fee for youth.  It’s only $35 to certify if you’re under 18.  $70 to certify if you are above 18 years of age.

If you took the clinic last year, you’re not required to take the clinic again to remain certified as you only need to take an in-person clinic once every two years to remain certified.  However, you are required to register as an umpire with Softball Sask (you will need to pay that fee) and complete the refresher and exam each year to remain certified.  So the cost is the same and it’s nice to have a refresher before your exam.

If you’ve never taken the course before or it’s been longer than 2 years, you would be required to take a clinic to remain a certified Softball umpire.

Please register as soon as you can as we have to have at least 10 people registered 10 days prior to the clinic or it is cancelled.

Remember that we will pay your umpire certification/registration fee if you umpire at least 3 games with SCMGS.

And please note the game fee structure for 2024:

$35 / game – Uncertified Umpires (All positions / All Divisions)

$40 / game – Certified Plate/Base Umpires (U11/U13 Divisions)

$45 / game – Certified Plate/Base Umpires (U15 Divisions and Up)
