Fundraising 'Thank Yous'

THE CHRISTIE

December for Sweet Rhythm means performing at Handforth Dean Retail Park or outside in the cold hoping that the wonderful people of Greater Manchester will put £1 coins in a bucket in aid of our chosen charity, The Christie.

2020 was different but we couldn’t let the year go by without doing our very best to support their amazing work. In fact, for us Christmas would not be Christmas without our fundraising. So we created Christmas lockdown videos which raised £546.75 for The Christie.

CHRISTIE HOSPITAL

NHS FOUNDATION TRUST

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your very kind donation which will be used towards running the Complementary Therapy service here at Christie Hospital. Many, many thanks.

Trafford Macmillan Care Centre. Thank you so much for arranging for your band to play at our 'Strawberry Fayre'. The day was a huge success - I thought I would write and inform you that we raised a fantastic £1,071.00! Funds raised will be used to help provide vital support to cancer patients and their carers in the Trafford Community. The turnout was astonishing and the music your band played only added to the happy ambiance. Everyone I have spoken to were highly delighted with your entertainment - apologies it was such a cosy venue for you! Please pass on our best wishes to everyone in the band for their support and good humour. Excellent!

SALE AND DISTRICT LIONS CLUB

Sweet Rhythm have supported Sale and District Lions Club by performing at their annual Father's Day Fete and Family Fun Day in Worthington Park, Sale since 1997.

MUSIC ON THE MEADOWS

Hi All, A huge thank you for your contributions to our annual Music On the Meadows - without your involvement we would not be able to put the event on - whether it be providing music on the night, or stuff going on in the background, like the provision of a stage and help with transporting equipment around! Despite numbers being lower than usual ( the very dodgy looking weather I think!) we still managed to raise a fantastic amount of £2038. Many thanks for your input, you're all superstars............... Michelle

Pudsey says a big 'Thank You' for raising £686 and we would like to thank all the late night shoppers at the Trafford Centre on 17th November for their help and generosity. Children in Need

MANCHESTER NEUROLOGICAL RESEARCH TRUST FUND

I am writing to thank you for arranging, at very short notice, the Sweet Rhythm Band to play at the Spring Fair on 25 April at Fiona Gardens. The band made the event go with a real swing and greatly contributed to the afternoon’s enjoyment and success.

So far £925 has been raised from the Spring Fair for The Manchester Neurological Research Trust Fund in aid of Dementia Research. More donations are expected and hopefully £1000 will be the final total.

Once again thank you for your support and great music.

Best wishes, Margaret

What a night! I'm still listening to the echoes of a great evening. Dougie at the Crown and Shuttle

Thank you all for a wonderful night on Saturday.Everyone I've spoken to said it was the best night they have ever had in the pub. The weekend overall raised over £600 for Springhill Hospice and was a great success. Thank you again for your support. Dave from the Crown and Shuttle

MUSIC ON THE MEADOWS

I just wanted to say thanks very much for performing for us - it was a fantastic event (and very successful from a fundraising point of view as well) and one that we wouldn't have been able to have if it wasn't for the generosity of people like yourselves who gave up their time to come and play for us. Thank you. Michelle

NSPCC CHILD PROTECTION HELPLINE

Thank you for your kind donation which will help protect vulnerable children from abuse and neglect. Your money allows us to run vital services for children and young people such as ChildLine, the NSPCC Child Protection HelpLine and therapeutic services. As we hardly receive any funding from the government, these services simply could not exist without the support of generous people like you. On behalf of all the children you're helping, thank you again for your gift. NSPCC

Thank you for your kind donation, and for supporting Tommy’s. Your donation will help to fund our important and life-changing research projects, as well as our Midwife Information Line which provides support and guidance to 1,000s of women and family members each year.
