Yes, I submitted your evidence statement along with several others, mainly from local residents.
Thank you for your help - just the six year wait whilst they get through the back log!

Dear Garry,
Thanks for the good news. Could you just confirm that you did receive the form I filled in and that it has been sent to K.C.C. I'll continue asking other Swale Footpaths Group members who have used the path to contact you.
Best wishes,
Alan.

Good news! I’ve received this from KCC:
Dear Garry,
Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981 - Section 53
Claimed Public Footpath running from Selling Railway Station at its junction with Public Footpath ZR631 to Fox Lane at Selling
I acknowledge receipt on 19 May 2025 of your application dated 14 May 2025, for an Order under Section 53(2) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, modifying the Definitive Map and Statement for the area, by adding a Public Footpath running from Selling Railway Station at its junction with Public Footpath ZR631 to Fox Lane at Selling.
Your application has been added to the County Council’s Schedule of Applications and given the Reference Number PROW/SW/C593, which should be quoted in future correspondence.
Please can you now serve Notice (Schedule 8) on all landowners and occupiers and when this requirement has been complied with, please certify that fact to the authority using Schedule 9.
Unfortunately, due to the large number of applications the Highway Authority has received, which are all time consuming and complex to resolve, it will be some while before investigation will commence on your application. It is difficult to give you an exact timescale of when the application will be allocated to an officer, but to give you an estimate, the backlog currently stands at approximately 6 years. Please be assured that it will receive attention as soon as we are able to begin working on it.
An Officer will contact you once work begins on your application but in the meantime, should you have any questions please contact me.
Kind regards
Laura

Dear Mr Smith I was just wondering if you had managed to complete the KCC paperwork; it’s a little bit onerous, I know.

Dear Mr Smith
Further to previous contact from our Parish Clerk regarding the parish council application to Kent Country Council to have the footpath running parallel to the railway line between the station footbridge and Fox Lane to be adopted as a public right of way.
We are now at the next stage of the application which requires an evidence statement to be completed.
I understand that you have expressed a willingness to complete the KCC Evidence Statement and so I wonder how I can get this to you?
Kindest regards,
Cllr Garry Evans
