I am interested in a number of research areas, including
1) Evolutionary Computation: The theory of Evolutionary Strategies and Differential Evolution, Harmony Search, Human-based evolutionary algorithms, learnable evolutionary models, co-evolutionary learning .
2) Swarm Intelligence and Foraging-based Optimization:Particle Swarm Optimization and its dynamics, Bacterial Foraging Optimization, Artificial Bees Colony Algorithm, Ant Colony Systems, Swarm Robotics, Collective Intelligence, Adaptive Flocking Algorithms.
3) Pattern Recognition: Evolutionary clustering techniques, graph-theoretic clustering, feature selection, classification rule discovery, neural classifiers.
4) Signal Processing: Evolutionary design of Multi-dimensional IIR and FIR filters, quadrature mirror filter banks, multi-rate signal processing, subband coding, S transform
5) Digital Image Processing: Image segmentation, de-noising, edge detection and edge length and width estimation, shape recognition, object extraction, 3-D reconstrauction, image registration.
