Earth Policy Institute Providing a plan to save civilization. This site provides a wealth of data on many dimensions as well as policies to transition to a sustainable future. A great place to start.

The Oil Drum Discussions about energy and our future. Lots of data on current and future estimates of energy use and supply as well as discussions.

Center for the Advancement of the Steady State Economy The mission of CASSE is to advance the steady state economy, with stabilized population and consumption, as a policy goal with widespread public support. It has lots of presentations and videos.

Global Development And Environment Institute GDAE (gee-day) at Tufts University provides publications and educational material for an economic theory to better serve human needs and ecological realities. It also conducts research on the effects of economic policies on social and environmental issues.

Federal Reserve Economic Data Great source of US (but also international) economic data.

The International Society for Ecological Economics ISEE is dedicated to advancing understanding of the relationships among ecological, social, and economic systems for the mutual well-being of nature and people. It publishes books and research papers, but also has links to additional information.

International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis The IIASA World Population Program has lots of information on projected population.

Redefining Progress Moving beyond GDP. Redefining Progress advances the Genuine Progress Indicator (GPI). The GPI consolidates critical economic, environmental and social factors into a single framework in order to give a more accurate picture (than GDP) of progress.
