HANDICAP (Novice) CUP
August 22nd 2026
A Round Robin format, up to 11 points, with all entrants playing each other and a good game was had by all!
The Handicap Cup is open to any member who has not entered or won a competition.
Unfortunately, we only had 6 members who entered this year!
Ken and Jonty both finished with equal points.
WINNER was KEN,
who won the most games, and received the Cup from President Cliff.

The overcast day did not deter our members taking part in our newly titled cup game.
There was even a few light showers, but having our Jacobs Join and raffle, with our invited guests, proved a very successful day! Enjoyed by everyone.

DAVID TEBAY CUP

A competition for the David Tebay Cup running side-by-side with a onsolation game for those who came second in the Cup Competition was held today. A bit short of members- competitors and sunshine- but a lovely day nonetheless, the rain kept off and it was enjoyed by everyone.

OPEN DAY 29th June 2026
We enjoyed very nice weather for our first Open Day, well organised by Isobel.
This attracted 17 visitors who were invited to walk in between 2 and 5 pm. They were happy to try the bowling, firstly with a bit of coaching from 'Our Coach' Isobel, who used the Bowls Buddy equipment and then members took them for a game, or two. Everyone was treated to a very good assortment of cakes, and home-made biscuits, with teas and coffees in the break and happy to return to the green and bowling for the rest of the afternoon.
Thank you to ISOBEL and all members who came to help, baked cakes etc and made it a very successful afternoon.
