We are now in the season of Advent, and the posters above tell of our Carol services and.Christmas services.
It has been great to celebrate the 140th anniversary of St Andrew's on 30th November; 160th anniversary of St Luke's this October and also heritage Weekend with special guests the dean and choir from St Paul's Cathedral Dunedin, and the celebration of the 60th anniversary of Bernard Wilkinson's ordination to the diaconate.
We'd love to have you join us for any of our services or other activities. Our regular services are:
Sunday 9am: Holy Communion at St Andrew's Maheno, followed by fellowship over a cuppa
Sunday 10:30am Holy Communion at St Luke's, followed by fellowship over a cuppa
Sunday 7pm at St Luke's - usually night prayer or, once a month, a Taizé service
Tuesday 9am morning prayer at St Luke's
Thursday 12 noon midday prayer at St Luke's
1st, 3rd and 5th Thursdays of the month 10am: Holy Communion at St Luke's, followed by fellowship over a cuppa
We have a special children's programme at the 10:30 Sunday service; people of all ages are welcome to all of our services. We also have other activities during the week for children and young people - weekly literacy groups to help young ones with their reading; a fortnightly kidsclub- a fun-filled after school program for kids, fortnightly badminton for young ones, all-age table tennis and involving young ones in music for Sunday.
Where volunteers are available we open St Luke's church to vistors Monday-Saturday 10:30am-3:30pm
