Mission and Vision

MISSION

As a multicultural community we accept the responsibility to share the TRUTH, that is Jesus, with others. We feel called and invited to show UNITY in DIVERSITY, following the example of the Trinity. We strive to promote, from our diversity, a relationship based in love, respect of the dignity of the human person, and the care of the environment. We strive to be nourished with the Word of God in order for it to be the foundation of our life and give joy to our spirit.

MISION

Como comunidad multicultural aceptamos la responsabilidad de compartir con los demás la VERDAD, que es Jesús. Nos sentimos llamados e invitados a mostrar la UNIDAD en la DIVERSIDAD, a ejemplo de la Trinidad. Intentamos impulsar, desde la diversidad, una relación basada en el amor, el respeto a la dignidad de la persona humana y el cuidado del medio ambiente. Intentamos alimentarnos con la Palabra de Dios para que ésta dé fundamento a nuestra vida y dé alegría a nuestro espíritu.

VISION

We, the members of Saint Joseph’s Parish, under the leadership of the Bishop of Memphis and our Pastor and taking into consideration the Diocesan Pastoral Plan, dream for the next five years to become a community of faithful missionary disciples, organized, trained, rooted in a Christian spirituality, and committed in the love and service at the example of Jesus; we dream to consolidate ourselves –rooted in the Bible and the apostolic tradition and strengthened by the sacraments- in the evangelical values that may help our families to become a light to society and may help our children and youth to live in a profound manner the teachings of Jesus in all the stages of their lives; we dream of a united community, open and fraternal, welcoming to all that wish to come and share with us life and mission.

VISION

Nosotros, los miembros de la Parroquia San José, bajo la dirección del Obispo de Memphis y nuestro Párroco y teniendo en cuenta el Plan Pastoral Diocesano, soñamos para nuestros próximos cinco años llegar a ser una comunidad de fieles discípulos misioneros, organizados, formados, anclados en la espiritualidad cristiana y comprometidos en el amor y el servicio a ejemplo de Jesús; soñamos con consolidarnos –anclados en la Biblia y la Tradición - en los valores evangélicos que ayuden a nuestras familias a ser luz en la sociedad y ayuden a nuestros niños y jóvenes a vivir profundamente las enseñanzas de Jesús en las etapas específicas de sus vidas; soñamos con una comunidad unida, abierta y fraterna, acogedora de todos los que deseen acercarse y compartir con nosotros la vida y la misión.
