About St. Mary Magdalene Anglican Church

St Mary Magdalene Anglican Church is a beautiful little church in the district of Bornova. It was originally built to serve the Whittall family and other English expatriates in the late 19th century (see 'History'). The weekly service of Evening Prayer is currently suspended due to restoration work. Services are held at Christmas and Easter and on the Feast of St Mary Magdalene (22 July). All our services are in English, and follow the rites of the Church of England. The church is served by the Chaplain and congregation of St John the Evangelist Church, Alsancak, Izmir.
