REGULAR WORSHIP AT ST JOHN'S CHURCH, ALSANCAK Our regular Sunday service, the Eucharist, is at 10.00 AM on Sundays. Whether you are a tourist or on business, or a resident of Izmir, you will be most welcome at our service, and for refreshments afterwards in the Church Hall. Our congregation members come from many different walks of life and parts of the world, but our common language is English, which we use both in our worship and in our other meetings. REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY A bugle plays the Last Post and Reveille, silence is kept, prayers for peace in our own time are said and wreaths are laid at our annual service of Remembrance which takes place at 10.45 AM on Sunday 9 September 2025, at the Church of St John the Evangelist.
ARMISTICE DAY 'At the going down of the sun and in the morning, we will remember them'. You are welcome to join our Armistice Day ceremony at the war memorial, at the Church of St Mary Magdalene, Bornove, at 5.30 PM on Tuesday 11 November.
ST JOHN'S CHRISTMAS FAIR (KERMES).10 AM to 2.30 PM on Saturday 29 November, in and around St John's Church. Stalls, food, crafts, fun and a chance to visit our church, beautifully decorated for the Advent/Christmas season.
ST JOHN'S CHRISTMAS CAROL SERVICE Saturday 6 December at 7.00 PM. We tell the Christmas story, through lovely Christmas carols and readings from the Bible in English. Enjoy the peace and joy of this heartwarming event.
ST JOHN'S CHRISTMAS EVE EUCHARIST Wednesday 24 December at 7.00 PM. We celebrate the coming of Christmas with well known Christmas Carols and readings.

VIEWING OUR CHURCHES St John's Church is often open to the public on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday afternoons (from 3 to 6), and at times of worship on Sundays. Please contact us for further information, or to arrange a private visit.
