The St. Jean’s Players provides professional-level performances of the best of American theatre to our actors and our audiences in a welcoming environment.
Your support provides for our future in this post-COVID world. And what does that future look like?
Continuing to reach out to members of our community who may not have considered participating in theatre.
Continuing to offer admission at the lowest cost, including free when possible.
Continuing to include diverse casts and appeal to larger, more diverse audiences, including disabled actors and audience members.
Finding a place where we can plant new roots, allowing us to plan a more consistent season, which we haven’t been able to do since the loss of our permanent home at the St. Jean’s Auditorium.
Offering at least two mainstage productions per season, plus a mixture of smaller offerings (play readings, cabaret performances, our well-loved One-Act Play Festival).
Continuing to offer the classic American theater that you have traditionally seen from us, as well as growing by offering more eye-opening and topical shows. The success of our last three productions, Six Degrees of Separation, Working: A Musical, and The Laramie Project, have stretched our theatrical muscle beyond what we had previously tackled. We look forward to pushing ourselves even further, while still offering the musicals and plays you know and love.
Reaching out further into our community to offer the opportunity to those who may not have the chance to see these theatre gems, and in doing so, help to expose a new generation to classic American theatre. This may include taking all or a portion of our shows to senior centers, libraries, and schools if possible.
We hope that you will join us on our journey to the future. Let us keep entertaining you!
