About Us

Our Mission:

To advance public appreciation of the arts by producing and performing theatrical works, and making grants to other charitable organizations for similar purposes.

The St. Jean's Players is the oldest continuing community theatre group on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.

The group was founded in the 1970's at St. Jean Baptiste Church at Lexington Avenue and 76th Street.  For several years, we performed in the St. Jean's high school auditorium on 75th Street.

Over the years, the group performed in several other locations and under several different names, including the Einhorn Players at Lenox Hill Hospital, and the MAP Players at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church.

In 1991 we returned to St. Jean's and became the St. Jean's Players. In 2020, we became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the name On With The Show, Inc., doing business as The St. Jean’s Players.

Auditions are open to the public.  If you would like to be notified of upcoming auditions, please click here to join our mailing list.
