Our Mission:
To provide the experience of professional-level performances of the best of American theatre to our actors and our audiences in a welcoming environment.
The St. Jean's Players is one of the longest-running community theatre companies in Manhattan.
Our group was founded in the 1970's at St. Jean Baptiste Church at Lexington Avenue and 76th Street. Over the decades, we performed in several other locations and under different names, including the Einhorn Players at Lenox Hill Hospital, and the MAP Players at Madison Avenue Presbyterian Church.
In 1991 we returned to St. Jean's and became The St. Jean's Players. For nearly 30 years, we produced memorable three-show seasons. However, during the pandemic, we lost our dedicated space in the St. Jean's Auditorium.
We vowed to continue -- after all, the show must go on! We became a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization under the name On With The Show, Inc., doing business as The St. Jean’s Players.
