WHEN

• Auditions will be held on the following days (you only need to come to one of them):

  1. Monday, Nov. 16 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm

  2. Tuesday, Nov. 17 from 6:30 - 9:30 pm

• Sign up for an arrival time at Audition Signups. No walk-ins will be accommodated

• All roles are open. Performers of all races and ethnicities are encouraged to audition. 

• No pay, non-Equity.

• Callbacks, if needed, will take place on the evening of Thursday, Nov. 19.

AMDA Studios, 244-250 West 54th Street between Broadway and 8th Avenues, Room 1101.

ABOUT THE SHOW

This Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, which premiered in 1938, tells the story of the small town of Grover's Corners, New Hampshire, in order to tell us the story of every town, the whole world over. Narrated by the "Stage Manager," the play follows the Gibbs and Webb families through twelve years of life changes -- from "Daily Life" to "Love and Marriage" to "Death and Eternity." The play contains 9 male and 9 female roles. There are roles for people of all ages, including children.

WHAT TO DO NOW

1. Sign up for an arrival time at Audition Signups.

2. Read the Character Breakdown.

3. Print out the Audition Form and fill it out. Here is the Audition Form for Adults and here is the Audition Form for Children under 18. (We will have blank copies available, in case you don’t have access to a printer, but please look at the form in advance and have your answers ready, especially your conflicts.)

4. Familiarize yourself with the Audition Sides for the characters you are interested in playing. Each character is listed in the Table of Contents.

5. Callbacks will be by invitation after all auditions have been completed. (If you have not been invited to callbacks, it does not mean that you have not been cast.)

WHAT TO BRING TO THE AUDITION

• Headshot and resumé. (If you don't have a headshot, please bring a photo of yourself.)

• Your printed and filled-out Audition form. (We will have extra blank copies, in case you don’t have access to a printer, but please look at it in advance and have your answers ready, especially your conflicts.)

AT THE AUDITION

• You will be asked to read the Sides for the characters you are interested in playing.

• You may be asked to read additional Sides if the Director would like to hear you in a particular role.

REHEARSALS

• Rehearsals will generally take place on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings from 6:30-9:30 pm at AMDA Studios, and on Saturdays from 1:00-4:00 pm at the Director's apartment. 

• You are expected to be at all tech week rehearsals. Tech week will run from Monday evening, January 25, through Thursday evening, January 28.

PERFORMANCES

• January 29-31 and February 4-7, 2027. Evening performances will be at 7:30 pm, Saturday shows will be at 2 pm, and Sunday shows will be at 3 pm.

• Performances will take place at the 14 Street Y at 344 East 14 Street in Manhattan.
