ABOUT THE SHOW
Working: A Musical was nominated for six Tony Awards and is based on Studs Terkel’s best-selling book of interviews exploring how American workers' relationships to their work ultimately reveal essential aspects of their humanity.
It was updated for the modern age in 2012, featuring new songs by Lin-Manuel Miranda, as well as favorites by Stephen Schwartz, Craig Carnelia, James Taylor, Micki Grant, and more. The musical is as relevant today as when it first appeared on Broadway. We are looking for a cast as diverse as America itself.
People of all ages, genders, races, and physical abilities are encouraged to audition.

REHEARSALS
Rehearsals will take place on selected weeknights and weekend days at AMDA’s rehearsal studios in midtown Manhattan and in the Musical Director's apartment on the Upper West Side.
You can expect to rehearse 2-5 times per week until tech week.
We will do our best to tailor the rehearsal schedule to everyone’s conflicts.
Tech Week will begin on Sunday October 29 at the theatre, and you are expected to be at all tech week rehearsals. We will be scheduling rehearsals each day that week leading up to opening night.
PERFORMANCES
Performances will take place during the first two weekends of November. Specific times are still being determined.
We are still in the process of contracting with a theater. It will be announced as soon as it is finalized.
