My computer consulting business is based around small jobs that can easily be done in a few hours. Below are some of the questions customers and friends ask me.
OK so you are a computer consultant, what do
they do, upgrade, repair, teach, give advice?
I do all of the above, I can also program in several computer languages and design computer and electronic hardware. I also design web sites, check out the Goleta Boys and Girls Club & Richards Scaffold's Bowyery web sites. I designed and maintain both of these sites. For more details of my qualifications please view my resume. Advice I usually give free.
Are there any other types of work you do?
Yes. As I am a qualified electrician and electrical technician of some 25 years of experience I can do most types of electrical work from simple doorbells to 400 volt 100 amp 3 phase motors. As being an electrician involves the knowledge a many other trades I am also a handyman, being able to do plumbing, woodwork and most mechanical jobs. No job is to small.
What's your charge per hour?
Depends on the job, usually in the range of $40.00 an hour.
Do you charge a call out fee?
Not usually, but if the job is out of town I do ask for some gas money.
Do you come with references/recommendations?
Most of my work is obtained from friends and customers who have recommended me, I can always supply a reference if needed.
Is your work guaranteed?
Yes, in fact I do not want paying until the job is finished and working correctly.
