There's at least one song that brings together my love for Philly R/B fused w jazz. And I love the artists that have covered the song, some of which include Grant Green, Ramsey Lewis, Tuck & Patti, & The Stylistics. But the most famous artist to cover the song was Prince. There's a piece of all of them in my arrangement.
By itself, the "junk" I pulled out of my parent's house has no meaning in of itself (except for sentimental meaning to me). But with a story, my story, and with the invaluable help of Bethany (bethanylherron.com), these boxes of junk became works of art that drew people into a story that was bigger than any of us individually.
