My previous works performed at the University of Bordeaux let me built a project of technology transfert which the financial support allowed to hire me at the french Scientific Research National Center (CNRS) for a time limited contract.
Title of the main project: SOLSTICE
Objectives of the project:
The aim of the project was the development of a portable instrument able to measure the concentration of heavy metals in ground.
Duration of the project: 36 months
Realized tasks:
Bibliography and technology watch.
Initiation of a technology transfert finance project (Bordeaux 1 University, Pau University, Quantel company, BRGM - Mineral and Geological Research Office)
Initiation of the collaborative project
Development of LIBS (Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy) experiments in laboratory using innovatives optical technologies (volume Bragg gratings, Fourier transform coherent spectroscopy)
Development of new spectral data analysis from chemometrics mathematical tools (multivaried methods, neural networks, ...)
Teaching: optics (Licence 1st and 2nd year), laser metrology (Licence, Master, Engineers)
Tools / Methods / Environment:
Applied research works within public laboratory.
Data analysis: Igor Pro
Optical conception: Zemax
Mechanical conception: SolidWorks
Results:
Financial achievement of a eco-technology and sustainable development research enhancement program (GIP/ANR - PRECODD). Total budget of the project > 1M€.
Innovation financial help from the National Research Promotion Agency - ANVAR.
The LIBS experiments allow to give us the possibility to detect heavy metals in ground with a sensitivity of 1mg/Kg.
However, the complexity of real grounds doesn't allow a direct ground analysis despite the mathematical treatments.
Two CNRS patents
Projects and minor activities
FLY (Femtosecond Laser analYsis) project: development of an instrument able to simply characterize ultrashort pulsed laser sources (femtosecond). More.
Fundamental research: development of a CARS (Coherent Anti Raman Scattering) microscopy experience.
Teaching: lab work (optics) Licence in Physics Measurement (1st and 2nd year), Laser metrology courses for Licence and Master (3rd and 4th year)
Position characteristics
Financial request documents writting
Research and development
Project management (objectives, costs, planning)
Be innovant, have some ideas
Good theoritical knowledge
Research lab work which requires lot of strictness and perseverance.
Capability to teach students: teaching and supervision of students and PhD students.
