• New publication in Cognitive Science on individual differences in reading:  Our study shows that psycholinguistic effects which are often robustly replicated at the group level do not necessarily replicate within individuals over time. (PDF)

• June 18-20, 2026 The 4th edition of the Workshop on Eye Movements and Reading Assessment will take place at the University of Koblenz. I would be delighted to welcome many of you there. A call for papers will be announced soon!

• New publication of an overview paper (in German) that provides a comprehensive review on currently available instruments for assessing language abilties of students in first grade. In addition, the paper offers guidance on alternative instruments to consider if an assessment turns out not to measure the intended language skills.(PDF )

• Sep 29-30, 2025 The next WG1 in-person meeting of the COST Action MultiplEYE will take place at the University of Koblenz.

• August 25-29 I am going to present the reading comprehension study of the MultiplEYE multilab and cross-linguistic eye-tracking data corpus at the EARLI 2025 conference in Graz

• June 5 -6, 2025 I'll give a keynote at the 3rd Workshop on Eye Movements and the Assessment of  Reading Comprehension at the University of Stuttgart

• June 1, 2025 Deborah Jakobi will present our paper on our means to standardize a multilingual, multilab data collection for eye-tracking-while-reading data of the MultiplEYE project at ETRA '25 in Tokyo

• April 1, 2025 Start of my new position at the University of Koblenz
