God created everything that exists and all life.
You are here because God made you.
God cares about you personally just the way you are and can be.
Your purpose in life is to be loved by God and to love others.
God came to earth in the human form of Jesus.
Jesus set out to restore our broken relationship with God.
(Jeremiah 31:3 NIV)
Forces of evil, human sin and death tear us apart and diminish life.
By giving his own life Jesus demonstrated the compassion of God.
God raised Jesus to new life and promises us everlasting life too.
Followers of Jesus experience renewal as a gift of God's Spirit.
The Spirit is God's invisible presence that gives trust, hope and joy.
Accepting God's love provides meaning and direction in your life.
(Jeremiah 29:11 NIV)

You are created for relationships of spiritual meaning.
As imperfect as the Church may be as a gathering of ordinary people, it is a place where you and me experience God and God's love shared with one another. It is in the community of faith that we practice following the example of Jesus. And it is the encouragement and purpose we receive and share in worship, fellowship, learning, service and witness that lets you get a sense of what God intends for our life.
Check out a local congregation. For me, the emphasis on grace in the Lutheran tradition rings true. You need other believers and they need you.
(Hebrews 10:24-25 NLT)
Read a pastoral Blog with spiritual encouragement from God in the Bible for learning to follow Jesus, growing in faith, and living with purpose. It's based on messages I share as I declare the good news on Sundays.
(1 Thessalonians 2:13)
My personal Blog is an occasional posting of faith convictions. The way I see it may not be the ultimate truth, but I believe that it has important insights to offer. Be challenged, inspired and encouraged.
