What Freemasons do...
Freemasons are committed to the principles that make our country great...
... by being a Fraternity that espouses private virtue while promoting acts of public good...
We symbolically use the tools and implements of ancient architectural craftsmen in a system of instruction designed to build character and moral values...which are faith, hope, charity, temperance, prudence, fortitude, and justice.
We and other Lodges in the county constitute the Suffolk District. Click here to see them.

What we do...
Star of the East Masonic Lodge No. 843 is a dedicated fraternal organization committed to serving the community and supporting charitable causes. Based in East Hampton, the Lodge plays a vital role in enhancing the lives of local residents through various philanthropic initiatives. One of the primary focuses is raising funds for scholarships to benefit students at East Hampton High School, empowering the next generation with educational opportunities. Additionally, the Lodge runs an Adopt-a-Family program, ensuring that families in need within the East Hampton School District receive gifts during the holiday season.
The Lodge also provides crucial assistance to surviving spouses of past members, offering financial support and care during difficult times. Through its involvement in the Masonic Brotherhood Fund, the Lodge has contributed to the Masonic Research Laboratory in Utica, New York, and the Robert Livingston Masonic Library in New York City, supporting the continued preservation and growth of Masonic knowledge and heritage. With a strong foundation in fellowship, charity, and community service, Star of the East Masonic Lodge No. 843 continues to make a meaningful impact on both local and broader levels.
