Is There Greatness In You?

Because Freemasonry operates by higher standards than the usual civic organization our requirements for candidacy are also higher:

    • Joining is not based on money. It is based on character.
    • We ask all who are merely curious to pursue their curiosity some other way.
    • Freemasonry revolves around measured work and participation; the lazy need not apply.
    • To become a full member you must pass through three Degrees.
    • Advancement from one Degree to the next depends on your proficiency and on nothing else.

Although outwardly the references are functional to the Workings of the Lodge, ultimately they are critical to the Workings of Masons."

- Dr. John S. Nagy, Building Hiram

"There is yet another dimension of manhood, so often forgotten today, which we may call by the old word piety. It is a natural, normal development of man, without which his life lacks its crown, and is a thing unfinished."

-Joseph Fort Newton, The Geometry of Character

It is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness.
