Astrid had a lovely childhood. Her family was close knit and supportive of each other. When Astrid was 13, her mother and younger brother Rene were killed in an explosion on a shuttle on the New France colony. Isoke Webster had known and worked with Astrid's father in the Governors office. After a little less than a year, Luc Rousseau brought Isoke home as his wife much to the surprise of his remaining children. He also brought a new addition to the family, Isoke's son, Tyson. He was about the same age as Astrid. Both mother and son had a peculiar personality. Around Luc and in public, they were kind to the Rousseau children. In private when their father was not present however, they were mean spirited and manipulative bordering on abusive.
Mattie left as soon as he could. He is currently working in Star Fleet Command. He and his father do not speak. Astrid stayed until her younger sister Marguerite was old enough to leave. While she remained on New France colony, she studied Law at a local college starting at the age of 16, having been advanced through school faster than most. She gained popularity when she sent out her dual dissertations on "Treaty Law Dynamics Between Multiple Species" and "Classist Law Dictates Among Human Colonies" at the age of 22. After gaining her dual Masters in Federation law and Colonial law and her sister coming of age, she left New France and went to Earth where her sister could attend Star Fleet and she could intern with Star Fleet JAG while practicing Law in San Francisco.
At 25, she traveled to Aleph Prime to practice law for a little over a year there. At 26, she traveled to Minos V to practice law. She remained there until she was transferred to OED V to practice law as the Head of the Judiciary. She still very much loves and speaks to her brother and sister. She even loves and speaks with her father, but does not speak to her step mother and step brother if it ever can be at all helped.
Current Security Detail: At all times she has two people on her immediate detail, a driver and a body-man. The drivers are expert pilots. She has a team of four drivers working on different shifts available at all hours of the day. Her body-man is her personal bodyguard that escorts her in all public areas. She lives in her house and is generally aware of all her comings and goings.During work hours her Hover-Car will be escorted by a single Police Cruiser.
There are three primary layers of security around her property. The front gate station will have two guards at all times for the foreseeable future, working eight-hour shifts. They will be in charge of letting people in and watching the outer perimeter. The second layer is the sensor heavy area, Joseph Karlson (Head of Police Force) set up a new Security facility in the Residential area that is charged with watching the sensor information, it creates a sensor bubble around Astrid's house that will detect anything larger than a microbe, then the video surveillance takes over. These are manned 24/7 and she has constant access to the records so she can modify how she wishes for your surveillance to be, with moderation of course. With these new features in place and a changing of the guards, as they say, police response time will be lowered to two to four minutes at most at any time of the day.
Astrid's sanctum sanctorum will be monitored by her private security force, not the general watchers. Sensors at every opening scans each individual who enters the house, taking a holographic image which she can review at any time she wishes, there won’t be any video or audio surveillance anywhere in the house or the pool area for privacy concerns. The Holographic sensor equipment protects privacy and is on an internal system so it can’t be accessed from the outside so she can’t be monitored. There will be weekly security sweeps for any listening devices scheduled randomly at the Head of the Police Force's behest.
