Announcements

Dear Friends of St. Andrew's,

At our annual meeting a decision was reached about re-opening for in-person worship starting next Sunday February 28th at 10:30 a.m.  As before we will follow the health guidelines of wearing a mask, washing our hands and practicing physical distancing.  Our first service back will be a communion service.  Individual pre-packaged communion waver and cup can be picked up on the table before going to your seat.  Those of you that were in church when we started up for advent  in November will remember that we had a seating plan and we will follow that plan for this time around.  If you can't remember the seating arrangement, no problem, someone will be there to help direct you to your seat.  If you plan on attending an in-person worship service would you kindly e-mail Pastor George at georgep@ntl.sympatico.ca or you can call him at 705-676-5887.

For the safety of all concerned, if you are sick or not feeling well at all, we kindly ask you to stay home and check out the Pastor's message on the church's web site later that afternoon at presbyteriannewliskeard.ca

If you have any questions or if we can be of help to you please do not hesitate to reach out to Pastor George by e-mail or phone.

Our mission project for this season of Lent will be a contribution or donation to the Food Bank.  In lieu of using the Lenten can or buying groceries, it was decided at our annual meeting today that we would encourage cash donations ( mark special donations for food bank on your envelope) during the next 4 weeks and on Palm Sunday March 28, we will dedicate the Lenten offerings for the designated purpose of assisting our local food bank.

As the apostle Paul prayed a prayer for the Colossians in Colossians 1:9-11, let us join with him in praying, "Lord help us to understand Your will and Your Word.  Help us to prosper in our walk and work. And give us Your power to endure the difficulties and still enjoy the journey of faith. Amen!"

God Bless,

Pastor George Paraskevopoulos

A Prayer for the New Year 2021!

For this reason, since the day we heard about you, we have not stopped praying for you. We continually ask God to fill you with the knowledge of his will through all the wisdom and understanding that the Spirit gives, so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience, and giving joyful thanks to the Father, who has qualified you to share in the inheritance of his holy people in the kingdom of light.”

As the apostle Paul prayed a prayer for the Colossians let us join with him in praying in the New Year, “Lord, help us to understand Your will and Your Word.  Help us to prosper in our walk and work.  And give us Your power to endure the difficulties and still enjoy the journey of faith.  Amen!"
