Elfins are Woodcraft Folk members aged 6-9.
Our weekly group nights are currently on Thursday and Friday evenings. We have a very varied programme that includes: hiking, orienteering, craft, drama, music, badgework, cooking and exploring issues such as peace, environment, world development and democracy.
This is the basis, but the attitude is very much "anything goes", so long as the kids want to do it. Past sessions have included: the chocolate trade, making pasta, making dreamcatchers, peace poems, identifying local birds and trees and drama.
Our two elfin groups are open to any children (aged 6-9), but we work through a cooperative committee of parents. The groups have no overall leader, so any parent whose children join the group should also be prepared to get involved in some way.
